YouTube is an app/website that is in our lives for nearly 2 decades. It’s a video watching/sharing platform which was created in 2005. There are nearly endless possibilities of things that you can watch, exciting, isn’t it? The platform was created by three former PayPal employees. Since then, it was bought by Google in 2006 and it changed dramatically. A site which has started as a place where people shared content about their hobbies quickly turned into a market where people gain their money from. The site has a lot to offer. That is why I choose to write a review about it.
First of all, the site overall has a clean design, other than advertisements. I personally use the dark theme so it doesn’t hurt my eyes, but it’s your choice. It’s built for daily use, so everyone can search and watch content easily. Secondly, and for me the most important, the content inside. There are over 800 million videos on YouTube which means that you’ll probably find something that suits your taste. The content that pops up on your home page is decided by an algorithm which decides on what to recommend you based on the content you consume. So, you’ll always find something that you’ll like.
YouTube revolutionised the way we shared content. It also holds the potential to create new job opportunities. The amount of content inside is really shocking, and there is something for everyone. Overall, a really lovely website that you can use for your day-to-day life.
