Writing or Reading?

There are various ways for people to express themselves, two of which are writing and reading. However, there is an ongoing debate about which one is more effective.

Both reading and writing are essential tools that help develop a person’s thinking skills and ability to express themselves. These two activities serve different functions. When reading, we relate to what the writer conveys, experiencing their thoughts and emotions. This process allows individuals to gain different perspectives and internalize new ideas. Writing, on the other hand, clearly reveals a person’s thoughts, feelings, and dreams. It provides an outlet for self-expression and emotional relief. In my opinion, writing is the most effective tool for self-expression. When a person writes, they not only express themselves but also experience emotional catharsis. Forms of writing such as keeping a diary, composing poetry, writing acrostics, and crafting articles play a crucial role in an individual’s inner world.

In conclusion, writing is an essential tool for self-expression. It is a process of self-discovery and a way for individuals to communicate their thoughts and emotions to the outside world.
