When we’re examining a song, we can often see that there are such lyrics which you wouldn’t even mention while talking with someone. You know that those phrases belong in other worlds, but unfortunately knowing this won’t stop the “songwriter”. There are so many popular songs that contain the worst lyrics but people don’t even care to look up the lyrics and question them. The main reason for this is because of the rhythm of the particular song. Teens don’t listen to the song because of the lyrics. They listen to it because every instrument in the background goes perfectly with each other and this outgoes the meanings of the lyrics. Although songwriting is easier, many composers make the music better and mess up while writing the lyrics. So, we could clearly say that people don’t mind the lyrics but they mainly focus on the harmony of the instruments.
From where I’m standing, I think that everything could be considered art, but there are just some extraordinary masterpieces that can’t be compared to the other compositions. Although it may seem odd, songs with absolutely no meaning should be considered art. If there is some kind of effort put in an imaginary piece- this could be absolutely anything- there is no reason for it not to be considered art. Even though the lyrics don’t make sense, “art” is subjective and could change for anyone, resulting in everything being a form of art. Besides music, I consider everything art. The product of a tree, the sky, the stars, the songs birds sing in harmony… Everything you find beautiful should be counted as a form of art. As I have mentioned, it is something subjective but I consider every music art, even if it’s terribly composed.
