World With or Without Nuclear Weapons

Nuclear bombs are extremely powerful explosives, the  bombs get their energy from either splitting atoms or joining the tiny particles inside the atoms together. That’s also why a nuclear bomb is sometimes called an atomic bomb.

Nuclear weapons release huge amounts of radiation  which can cause radiation sickness due to the decrease in our white blood cells. They were only used twice in history both of them were against japan in 1945 during World War Two and they caused huge harm to the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The radiation from the bomb dropped on the city of Hiroshima lasted several months and killed an estimated 80,000 people and the bomb dropped on Nagasaki killed more than 70,000 people. No atom bombs were used after those.

Nine countries currently have nuclear weapons: the US, UK, Russia, France, China, India, Pakistan, Israel and North Korea. These countries all develop the bombs by themselves no trade occurs between countries when it comes to nuclear bombs and weapons, but between NATO countries a policy named Nuclear Sharing exists, where nuclear weapons are provided to 5 nuclear sharing countries.

In theory, pretty much anyone with the technology, intelligence and facilities can develop these bombs and weapons, but whether countries are allowed to or not? That’s a whole other issue. This is because of something called the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) – an agreement which aims to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons and promote disarmament.

To sum up it does not make sense for us to be disscussing if the nuclear bombs and weapons should be allowed or not after seeing the inhumanic effects of the radiation in japan nuclear weapons may only make a country feel stronger and dangerous to other countries which may ruin the world peace.
