Having certain working hours and working environment in the office can help the employee focus more on his/her work. You can work more efficiently because there are fewer distractions around you. Things can become easier when it comes to sharing work and knowledge with friends from work. Also; because employees have difficulty for finding time to socialize, having friends in the work area also allows employees to socialize. We can list all these as the advantages of the office environment.

On the other hand, there are also disadvantages to working in an office. Rivalry in the work area due to career plans, superior-subordinate relationships, and mobbing of employees can be counted as the negative effects of being in an office. In addition to all these psychological negative effects, it also has financial disadvantages. Especially in big cities and metropolises, the time spent on the road to work and the cost are the disadvantages of working in an office.

In the working from home type, the employee can feel more free. They can have a happier working areas because they are not exposed to any oppressive behavior. He/She can take the time spent on the road to his/her work or himself/herself. This provides a great advantage as there is no cost in the time spent on the road to work. If the person is his/her own business owner rather than an employee, working from home becomes much more economical as he/she will not be exposed to office expenses. Working from home provides great convenience and advantages to human life, both economically and psychologically.

However, the presence of more distracting factors around, such as a mother with children, lack of office equipment, inadequate technological facilities and space, negatively affects the performance of working from home.

In conclusion, working from home is always advantageous as an employee or manager in business areas where individual work is enough and doesn’t require teamwork, and where only office equipment is enough and doesn’t require a special field. It is thought that working from home will become more common as it is more economical and technology develops.
