Nowadays technology is developing faster than ever and thanks to the fast development of technology artificial intelligence is also improving very quickly. The quick improvements of AI gave many people hope and excitement about the modern world and future. There are also some poeple who think AI is dangerous for the system of our current world and it can take over some peoples jobs leaving them unemployed. Does AI have the power to replace current occupations?
As many people are aware AI is improving day by day and we can not deny the fact that AI will have huge effects on our lives and the world in the future. With the rapid developments AI is showing many are certain that AI will take over many occupations. Using AI seems like the best choice for employers currently as its cheaper, can work longer and faster than a employee could. Its also safer as the probability of mistakes is way lower since the factors of health or emotions dont get in the way with AI. For example if made correctly an AI powered machine could perform surgeries that can last days with little to no risk while doctors are more likely to make mistakes that could put the patients life at risk as the time passes. Also AI can write a code in seconds while it would have taken an expert days or even weeks to write the same code.
While replacing humans for AI powered machines seems like a good idea there will likely be a major problem that comes with it, a huge increase in unemployement rates. AI has the potential to take over most of the current occupations in the future. Only a couple of jobs are safe from AI. If AI took over the jobs it could take over there would be a huge unemployement problem all across the globe. Most people would be unable to find jobs and as a result cant earn any money. The economy would crash and the crime rate would skyrocket since the unemployed wont be able to afford any of their daily needs like accommodation, food, water or clothing. The governments cant take a risk like this so its unlikely they will allow the usage of AI everywhere.
AI powered machines in the healthcare or entertainment industries will most likely be a luxury which only people who are willing to pay a certain amount of money can experience. These industries wont completely shift to AI. Unlike these occupations, programmers are at high risk of getting replaced since their job doesnt necessarily need any artistic ability or personality. Programmers and some similar occupations will most likely be completely replaced by AI but most occupations are more likely to be still availabe for people and will continue without mainly using AI.
In conclusion, AI will definetely change and sometimes replace some occupations but it probably wont be allowed to replace much since that would be against many peoples favors.
