What We End Up As?

Life is a long road. A human being approximately lives for 70-80 years. During our lifetime we meet new people, we visit new places, have different experiences. Along the road, we make choices and those choices have concequences. Those consequences change the root we are taking in life. For example, if we choose law school we end up being a lawyer or a judge which results in a different experience. If we choose being a doctor, we meet different people. We marry and form a family. That family is mostly how we live for the rest of our lifes. So our choices shape our lifes.

But what is important in our lives? What we end up as or what we did along the way? The answer can change from person to person and maybe a topic of discuss. If take a look at human history we see a lot of people who did important stuff during their path but ended up having bad lives. Nikola Tesla is a great example. Even though making brilliant discoveries and inventions most of his work was stolen by Thomas Edison, which led to him gaining to small from his work. In 1942, he died in a cold New York Hotel room at the age of 86. He died poor, which shows that he gained almost nothing for his discoveries and inventions. It’s sad to see that people with this much success can end up like this. But some people do some stuff that they regret during their path but they achieve something great. Robert Downey Jr. is a great example. He used have a bad life, even entering jail. But with his acting career he changed, and became a better person. He took part in great films but the most well-known ones are the Marvel Movies, where he played as Iron Man. Some might believe that with that much money, everybody would change and enter a better path but I disagree.

Life is a long road and we don’t know what we will end up as in the future. We might end up bad or good. But it’s always important to do our best.
