What We Eat Becomes Our Behavior

Is there really a close-knit correlation between the nutrients we intake and our moods and behaviour? Can a small piece of chocolate change my behaviour or my depressive mood? When you examine this in depth, it has to have a connection with the brain and brain development, right?

Brain development and correspondingly behaviour of the organism occur as a result of the interaction of heredity and various environmental factors. Environmental factors; covers such as nutrition, environmental health conditions. Indirectly, nutrition does the duty of warning for behaviours as well as being the basis of social interactions.

As can be seen from the figure, the diet provides energy and nutrients for the proliferation, shaping and functioning of brain cells. The environment directly affects the brain as well as the quality of the diet. Even a very well developed brain cannot do its homework if it does not find an adequate socio-cultural environment. Brain development is reflected in an individual’s behavior. Behavior affects both diet and the environment. If the behaviors are positive, it may be possible to improve the diet and the environment. Nutrition and the environment affect the development and work of the central nervous system in various ways. First; morphological, biochemical, and physiological impairment in the brain manifests itself as a restriction of the ability to learn. Secondly the inability of the social and cultural environment to provide adequate stimulation adversely affects the development process. Third; for example, a negative change in a child’s behavior inhibits the  learning process. Inadequate and unbalanced nutrition can also negate a child’s social relationships.

Yes, we can notice that we are happy when we eat a chocolate bar. But if we constsantly think of chocolate as an escape when we are sad, would not that become uncontrollable? So this can result in us as uncontrolled weight gain, right? We call this emotional eating. To prevent emotional eating, we need to have a perfectly orderly life.

As a result, the food we eat actually affect even our lives. That is why we must pay attention to the foods we eat. Once and for all, we must not forget to take care to eat the foods we eat in sufficient quantities.
