Fire is the greatest invention humans have ever made that changed the course of history. It has countless benefits on humans. But what would happen if humans came across fire three hundred years ago then they did now?
The first change that would have occurred is a faster development of technology. Fire is therefore central to many technologies of early tools and weapons. An earlier mastery of fire would have led to an earlier mastery of metallurgy and thus earlier stronger more durable tools. This would have led to better hunting, building, and crafting techniques to improve the way of life.
Fire was used as a tool in land clearing and enhancing soil fertility in agriculture. An earlier use of fire may have facilitated the development of agriculture and the growth of communities and civilizations sooner than people now believe to be the case. Development of advanced agricultural techniques would have enabled production of surplus foods to support larger populations and complex structures.
The effects of fire been discovered early in the society are also very critic. Fire made people to be able to live in groups since it provided warmth, safety, and a way of cooking food. These benefits probably led to the evolution of early social institutions like societies and communities. If fire had been found harnessed sooner, societies may have reached higher levels of complexity and forwardness sooner.
In addition, fire enhanced food safety and nutrition. Cooking made food safer by eliminating pathogens and nutritious. It also helped people to digest it easier since it cooking meat breaks peptide bonds between amino acids. This probably helped early humans live longer and healthier lives. An earlier adoption of fire for cooking would have made these benefits leading to earlier population growth and the rise of social forwardness.
In conclusion, invention of fire had so many benefits on peoples’ lives and a previous invention of fire would have kick-started technological inventions, increased the rate at which complex societies arose, and enhanced cultural evolution in a significant way that could have changed the history of humanity.
