V for Vendetta is a politic-thriller movie for every revolutionist people, and this article will
be a review. Relatedly, I will evaluate this movie in 3 parts: storyline, acting, cinematography.
Storyline is the most important part of the movie for me. In a movie the other things can be insufficient but if the storyline is bad, then probably the movie won’t be valuable. There should be a message for the watcher or some terrifying wise tricks. V for Vendetta has both of them. V for Vendetta takes place in a dystopian future, in a totalitarian England. Leading actor masked V (Hugo Weaving) is a rebellion fighter who fights with government for freedom. While making some plans for his revenge, he meets with a young lady named Evey. V tells his teachings to Evey with various ways. Together, they perform a series of symbolic and dramatic actions to awaken the public and overthrow the totalitarian regime. While fighting for freedom, V faces with his past. The film revolves around a masked hero’s struggle for freedom, while offering profound reflections on freedom and justice.
There are no more things about acting. The cast consists of experienced members, obviously. That’s why the cast acts very well in the movie.
I don’t want to beat around the bush; in this movie, cinematography is perfect. Especially, in some scenes they used cinematography absolutely perfect. I can’t delineate the scenes because if I delineate them I will probably give some spoilers so please watch the movie. You will understand how good cinematography is.
In conclusion, you should watch this movie. As a movie critic (I’m not but I’m seeing myself like this.) I recommend this movie to every revolutionist people. Specially if you don’t have any hope about yourself and your country you should watch it. It will help you. I want to finish my article by writing a famous quote from the movie.
“Behind this mask there is more than just flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea… and ideas are bulletproof.”
