The Tortoise Trainer

Osman Hamdi Bey drew The Tortoise Trainer in 1906 and 1907.  The painting is drawn in 1906  is displayed in Pera museum in İstanbul.  There are six tortoises who eat leaves and a trainer who is wearing red and long rope. The trainer of the tortoise tries to train them with nay, in Green Mosque in Bursa neglected room covered with blue tiles.

Osman Hamdi Bey explains in this painting it is difficult to educate people and he is tired of it. But the painter wants to educate people with art. He tries to give a message by painting this famous painting. So, we can eduate people but this is a long process.
