If I had a chence to chose between traveling to fute or past I would chose the future. Because if I went to the past any event i knowingly or unknowingly changed would effect the future ten times worse. Even changing the spot of a rock on the street could cause thr butterfly efect to be triggered dus completely changing today. It could also damage the time paradox as seeing there would be two me’s at the same time. Which would confuse a lot of people. Worse I could effect my own futere whether it be in a good or bad way. I could also cause key events of history to change. Anything I do Would effect at least hundreds of peoples lifes.
On the other hand going to future is a much safer choise. Because there are billions of propabilitys for the future ahead of us and I would only go to one of them. But even though the future is not decided yet I could also travel to my death moment. Although that might not sound half bad -because I could come back and change whatever caused this- it would effect me badly. If I decided to change the events happening now to not die this would only be a waste of time. I am not a religious person but I do agree that every persons life time is like a sand-watch it ends when it’s suposed to. So I wouldn’ actually be dodging death but I would cause my self to die in meybe worser ways. Let’s assume that I some how did beat the fate and changed my death day then someone else would have to die. The reason is that there is a balence between life and death, so for every person who lives another has to die. That person could be one of my loved ones. Even if they weren’t they are another persons. If I tried to save every single one of those people I would be trapped in an endless paradox frever until I give up. When I do give up I would have to go even farther back in time to resett everything I had done. With this I would be very cautious and get anxiety whenever I see my death reason. Even if I would act like it didn’t bother me I would get nightmares about it.
So in conclusion neither going back in time nor travelling to future is a good idea. Which is why I would chose neither if I could. If I couldn’t travelling to future would be my choise.
