The Swimmers

The Swimmers is an awesome movie which is based on a true story. İt has creative plot, brilliant storytelling and characters whom plays important roles in the story. İt is a dram/sport film and  published in Netflix in 2022 and it is aproximately 2 and half hours.

The main character is Yusra Mardini. She faced with all  bad situations, she and her sister fought and won. These two sisters were once refugees who fled the brutal civil war in Syria. Their journey was fraught with danger and peril. They traveled through different countries, facing hardships and uncertainties at every turn.

Yusra and Sarah pulled a broken boat that normally has a capacity of 7 but had 20 people on it, including 2 tiny newborn babies, to safety. With no hesitation, both jumped into the freezing water and swam for hours until they reached the coast of Greece.

Nevertheless, being refugees did not stop them from achieving their dreams. In fact, that journey led Yusra to the greatest stage of all: the Olympics. The Syrian swimmer, with the attendance of her sister, represented the first refugee team at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

Her story is nothing short of extraordinary. By competing in the Olympics, Yusra showed the world what “never give up” means. Along with Sarah, she now advocates for refugees, and she hopes to inspire those who face adversity every day to keep fighting.

Yusra’s story proved me  that anything is possible if we have the courage, determination, and resilience to pursue our dreams. Yusra sayed in the film  that “ Most of all, swimming taught me to try again. If you are going through something though, it doesn’t mean that it is over.” No matter how hard life gets, just never ever  give up. Pursue your dreams and stay true to yourself, even when the road ahead seems bleak.

To sum up these two sister helped me to catch my motivation back and it is one of my favourite movies. That why ı would probably give 10 out of 10 because of how real and detailed it was. I would recommend to everyone without any doubt.
