THE PERFECT DAY

I was late for work because I had stayed up too late the night before. Normally, the manager would notice, but I entered my office with hope. However, as soon as I stepped inside, he approached me and said, “You’re late, aren’t you?”

I think we both knew the answer.

As I stood up, all my documents fell to the floor. A small smile appeared on my face as I quickly bent down to collect them.

The manager looked at me and asked, “What are these documents? They haven’t been signed yet.”

“I’m sorry,” I replied. “I couldn’t sign them all, but I will as soon as possible.”

“Looks like you’ll have to work late again tonight with a pile of documents,” he said.

He was such an annoying man. I barely made it home, exhausted. Just as I walked in, my phone buzzed with a message from him: “Finish these documents, or I’ll fire you.”

I sighed and sat down in front of the pile of paperwork. As I picked up my pen, I muttered, “One day, the sky started raining green instead of blue, and everything changed.”

A moment later, my phone buzzed again. “Just kidding. Go to bed,” he wrote.

The next morning, I was late again. When I arrived at work, the manager walked toward me. As I stood up, my documents were about to fall—but this time, he caught them.

“It shouldn’t be like yesterday,” he said. “I actually came to say good morning. Also, there won’t be any working hours today.”

I was so happy! I went straight home… and then, I woke up.

Unfortunately, it had all been a dream.
