The One Last Bit Of Memory

Today I learned that I’m going lose all of my memory except one. They said that I can choose any memory that I want to stay. I have had a lot of good times in my life so that its hard for me to choose one. I have had a lot of good friends and a lot of good people in my life that im greatful for. When I was going through the memories I remembered the most unforgettable one. It was like this:

I woke up at 7 o’clock as usual then washed my face, ate my breakfast and went outside to wait for my bus. It was a tuesday in winter. The weather was so cold that if your hands were out you would not be able to feel them after just 2 minutes. I waited longer than usual because the bus was late due to the traffic. I always sleep on the way to school because I wake up so early in the morning. There was a turn that was so sharp that everybody would wake up. The school had nothing different. The classes were boring as usual, the breaktimes were short. On noon we went to the cafeteria to have lunch. The school provided us the food so we did not had to bring our own meal to school. Luckily that day on the menu there was my favourite food, which is hamburgers and potato wedges. I ate my own and some of my friends food that they couldn’t finish then went to the breaktime that we call ” OTMOZ(the abbreviation of only possible time available to have fun in turkisch)” and started playing basketball. That year the schools basketball team was fairly good according to other years. I was the captain of the team because of my incredible skills(just my height and my weight was higher than most of the children back then so I was dominant). The breaktime ended and we were sad as always. We managed to live through all the classes that day. I stayed after school because we had practice for the basketball team. The practices were just a full-court match for 1 hour so it wasn’t that difficult or tiring. After the practice me and one of my close friend got into our bus and started returning home. On the way to my home I remembered that I ordered a console online and got excited because it had a posssibility to arrive that day. When I got home my heart was beating so loud and fast that I thought I was dying. The door opened, I got into the elevator, and pressed 4th floor. I rang our bell and waited. When my mom opened the door I immediately hugged her and asked “Did my console arrive?”. She was surprised at first but than said that it has not arrived yet. I went to my room and got dressed then went to the living room. When I got into the room my jaw litteraly dropped because my uncle that I haven’t seen in 5 or 6 years holding the console that I bought in his hands. I started crying because of excitement and happiness. I hugged my uncle and said welcome to him. We ate or dinner and I played some games with my uncle on the new console. I arrived late because of the practice so I had to sleep. I asked my uncle how long he will stay nervously but, he when said that he will stay for a week I got relieved and went to sleep.

That is the memory that I choose because it was the moment where I was happy the most.
