The One and Only Memory

When I opened my eyes I realised that I was surrounded with several doctors who staring at me. First I didn’t know what was happening. The doctors were asking me some questions about that day. They asked where I had been, what I had been doing and who I had been with. I couldn’t remember anything. Then they wanted to know where I had been the week before. They even asked when I was born and if I had any siblings. Nothing! I couldn’t remember anything! What was wrong with me? The doctors explained that I was involved in an accident and that I might have lost my memory. I couldn’t talk for a while. Suddenly, an image came infant of my eyes. It was a horse. This horse was mine! I am afraid this was the only memory I had…

It was a bright and sunny morning. The sun was shining and the birds were chirping. I yawned and stretched my arms. I always loved sleeping and it was always hard for me to get out of bed. However, this particular morning was different from the others. I didn’t know why but I had a strange feeling that I couldn’t explain. I wanted to get out of bed immediately and sing and jump and dance.

After taking a shower, I got dressed. I put on my new pair of breeches. I knew this was going to be a wonderful Saturday at the equestrian club. I had horse training that day and my trainer was waiting for me so I didn’t want to be late. After a very quick breakfast, I got in the car to go to the club. I had been riding my trainer’s horse for the last six years. I have always wanted to ride my own horse because I wanted to join the races. İf the horse is not yours, it is probable that you will lose the race. On the other hand, if the horse is yours, it is an advantage as you can train as much as you want before the races. Besides, you get used to the horse and the horse gets used to you

As soon as we arrived at the horse club I ran to the stables. I wanted to prepare my trainer’s horse for riding. To my surprise, there was another horse waiting for me. It was a chocolate brown horse with a huge pink ribbon on his head. My trainer said that it was my horse. All the words in the world were not enough to express how I felt!
