As much as we, humans have gone up in technology we also strangely enough have created more problems then answers. That has to do with whatever that’s invented and its capabilities. Specifically in medical terms whatever that’s created opens new doors that are locked up. That’s the case with the topic of genetic cloning and general DNA customization.
It should not come as a surprise that genetic cloning and anything that surrounds it is a huge controversy. We scientists have proven that it can be done several years ago with sheep. So, what’s the problem? Well quite frankly we are indeed not sheep. Its realized that this is a ridiculous risky operation as one would need to put one or more people in the line. Since this technology has not been tested on humans and no one is suicidal enough to help (and it’s definitely not that of charges and law suits for such actions by the way) , we are stuck.
Some are extremely negative on the idea of cloning and making an alternate of a human and that’s for good reason. Just thinking about the power of a person and the alternate working together would have sickens me as well. An exact replica could easily manipulate anyone to their knees. That’s including of the owner or the subject it came from. Because the new entity would technically be human still and it could defiantly have a mind of its own is extraordinarily scary. The clone could basically do anything though psychological warfare and manipulation. The fact that both the subject and the alternate are, to every inch of their beings, are identical just ads salt to the injury.
Possibly the problems could be resolved however the world needs to be ready for it. Like the integration of new laws and rules it`s imaginable. Of course, this breakthrough could be used for something different li resurrection. I won’t be the judge of that. So understandably people could support this idea. Maybe I am just overexaggerating just like how people overexaggerated and oversaturated the idea of AI taking over. Amusing…
No matter where I look and approach this topic its really uncertain. It’s not a secret that I don’t thing that humanity is ready for this. But unfortunately I can’t make up a future for this technology anymore, it wouldn’t be professional opinion as I am severely suffering form bias and not knowing much about this stuff (and not having the motivation as well). So, you would need to look into this on your own, reader.
