The Joke

One day, I went camping in the forest with my friends. Each of us was assigned a task: Mete would light the fire, Defne would set up the tents, Sarp would arrange the music, and I would collect dried branches. As I ventured into the forest to gather branches, I felt a sense of fear creeping over me, especially as I heard mysterious noises emanating from the bushes.

Upon returning to our campsite with the branches, I was met with an eerie sight—everyone had vanished. Despite the fire being lit, the tents set up, and music playing, my friends were nowhere to be found.

Fear gripped me as I realized I was alone in the vast, dark forest. I attempted to call Mete for answers, but to my dismay, my phone battery died just as I pressed the button to call him. Tears welled up in my eyes as I grappled with the overwhelming feeling of isolation.

Seeking solace, I retreated to my tent and drifted into an uneasy sleep. When I awoke, the morning light greeted me, but my friends were still nowhere to be seen. Determined to take action, I made the decision to embark on a journey, uncertain of my destination.

After an hour of wandering, I stumbled upon a house. With a mixture of trepidation and hope, I knocked on the door. To my surprise, it swung open, revealing the comforting glow of light within. Stepping inside, I was greeted by the sight of my friends—Mete, Defne, and Sarp. Overwhelmed with emotion, I burst into tears at the sight of them.

It was then that I realized my friends had orchestrated a prank, albeit a rather frightening one. Despite the initial fear and confusion, I couldn’t help but laugh at their elaborate joke.
