The Hotel inside The Nothingness

After all the things I’ve been through , I thought I need to reset my head. I suddenly decided to stay in a hotel which is silent and far from the city centre. I prepared my suitcase immediately and left the house. I took a taxi on the road and went to the bus station where I would go to my hotel located in a huge forest.

My hotel was 40 minutes away from the city centre. Behind a mountain there was a huge forest where my six-story hotel located. After dropping of, i surrounded by a deep silence. There was no light source except few hotel rooms.

There was a man who felt asleep behind the reception desk. He flinched when he first saw me, welcomed me with a tired smile and took me to my room. Then I placed my clothes in a small closet and went to bed after a hot shower. Because of the tiredness of that day, I easily felt asleep.

With the first light of the day, I felt hunger and I realised that i didn’t ate anything yesterday evening. After eating my fresh breakfast, i went back to my room balcony and i started to read my book until the lunch. After eating my lunch, I though that walking inside this huge forest will rest my mind.

I went out and opened my usual playlist that I listened to while walking. When i was little far away from the hotel, a building caught my attention. This building was a school, hidden among the trees, in nothingness. It was a very old building. I didn’t understand why a school was built here because the downtown was far away.

While I was glancing at school, I felt apart from my route without realising it. It started to get dark slowly as I was continuing my walking. While I started to go back, I realised that the roads I passed through were not the same. And at that moment I realised that i was lost! I immediately opened the maps from my phone .None of them was showing accurate route because there was no internet.

It was getting dark. I kept hoping that I would see a light to find  my way back to the hotel. At that time, I found myself in front of an old building that turned out that the huge, impressive building I saw while walking through the pitch blackness of the damp, cold night was a school. Its lights illuminated every nook and cranny, ridiculing the sombre, silent cloak of the night like a persistent mustard stain on funeral attire. The street was still dark, but it felt brighter in my inner world.

By finding that school, I easily find my hotel. I was very scared. I immediately went to my room and gave myself a promise. I will not go walking in nothingness without a published map!
