The Hit

Life was never easy for me. My parents died when I was five in a car crash and I have been lonely ever since. After they died, I lived in an orphanage for two years. It was like hell. Whenever I tried to talk to someone, they somehow made fun of me or humiliated me. I only had one friend there. Her name was Ava. She was about five years bigger than me and she always saw me like a brother.

One day a good-looking lady came in. Apparently, she was a really rich. She pointed at me and said “What’s that one’s name?”. Before I knew it, I was in a limousine going to her house. I never felt so abandoned, even after my parents died. The lady’s name was Greta and she had a daughter. The daughter’s name was Mandy. Mandy truly hated me. Neither one of them acted like I was a part of their family.

Years later, when I started college, I was a mess. A mess that never had been loved by someone. I always ran away and met with my friends without permission.  They weren’t good people but they were the only ones that actually liked media always refused to do what they did which was mostly stealing some cars and driving around the city. I was not the best person in my teenage years but I never wanted to listen to them.

One day, we were eating dinner with Mandy and her friends. Her friends were mean and they all hated me. They were mean to me and for just a moment, I snapped. I wasn’t thinking at all. I called my friends and told them to come here immediately and that we had a matter to settle. I could’ve felt the fire coming out of my eyes.  They came here and we hopped in one of Mandy’s friends’ cars. I sat on the driver’s seat even though I had no idea how to drive a car. I was going 150 mph and I couldn’t stop, we hit a street light and… I just… I don’t remember anything else.

After a few days I woke up in the hospital with everyone around my bed. My friends, madam Greta, Trudy, her friend and a nurse. Madam Greta was looking at me like she never did before. I saw one tear falling down her cheek. I sat up in my bed and I looked at Trudy’s friend started to yell at me. I wasn’t awakened so I couldn’t fully understand what she was saying. But I could tell she was really angry. Before I could say something, Madam Greta held her by her shirt and threw her out of the room. I never saw anyone care that much for me. I felt something. Something on my chest. My heart was beating very fast and I looked at her one last time before I fell asleep again.
