Are you a person who loves movies with lots of sobs and tissues? Then this Oscar-rewarded masterpiece, the Father, is the best for you!
The movie’s topic is mainly an old man’s struggle with Alzheimer’s and his daughter who tries to help him throughout the movie. It has a complex structure which can be hard to understand. However, with Anthony Hopkins’ excellent acting this isn’t a problem at all. The changing of the places and characters’ personalities as the man’s mind becomes cloudy is beautifully described. Of course, we owe this cinematography to the director’s talent.
You can almost feel the confusion the main character lives with, while you feel pity for him. You can also understand the helplessness of the daughter.
Last of all, I strongly recommend this movie for all the drama lovers who needs a good cry.
