The Effects of TV on Teens

Television is an important part of every teenager’s life. From witnessing the magic of superheroes to tuning into horror weekends, teenagers go through television and live in the bubble becomes a cause for concern, depending on the types of shows being watched.

The television is not bad. When exposed to the right shows or programs, teens can learn useful things. Research indicates that watching TV can have a positive impact on teens. It can help them change their behavior and attitude for good.
TV affects teens negatively as well. Unfortunately, the adverse  effects seem to outnumber the positive ones when you do not pay attention to them. Lack of proper physical activity and too much screen time can lead to vision problems. Research has also has also indicated that there is a direct connection between TV time and obesity in teens. Teens tend to watch more TV if it is placed in their bedrooms, and the problem is intencified by food advertising and snacking while watching TV. A sedentary lifestyle and obesity may also  increase cardiovascular health risks in the future.

As a result as a Turkish proverb says less of everything is beautiful, more is harmful.
