I really needed a rest. I could barely stand, and I was about to lose my balance. I was trying to peek through the door, checking if it was coming, not knowing that it was already inside. Finally, I lost my balance and fell. I could only open my eyes when I fell because it had already found me. You must be wondering what I am calling “it.” Even I don’t know its name, but I know that it was something wicked. When it grabbed me, everything went black. I wasn’t able to see anything. Then, the lights turned on. It was my usual house. But I wasn’t alone in it. I wasn’t feeling tired anymore, so I was able to run better if it chased me. It looked like a stickman, but instead of a head, there were more sticks. I don’t know if it’s human or not, but it is dangerous. I found an energy bar in the fridge, so I ate it. I opened the front door and checked the mailbox. There was only one letter, which was really small. I opened the letter slowly. It was… It was empty. I was about to get inside, but I saw it running from upstairs in my house. It was in a rush to capture me again, or even kill me. I burst into a random house in the district. No one was in there. No one to help me. But there was a book in front of the TV on a table. I skipped the pages because there was no time. When I opened the 120th page of the book, I saw a handwritten phone number inside. I had no choice but to call the number, hoping that someone would pick it up and send help. But no one picked up, and it was already behind me. Then I woke up. Was it all a dream? No, I was in a coma for 5 years. 5 years of being chased by it, the creature. I wasn’t able to handle all of this. Yet there were no nurses nor doctors treating me. I was in an abandoned hospital.
