The Circlet of Tears

There was once a girl named Seraphina. She was in her early twenties. One day after her grandparents had passed away she was sorting the boxes in attic as they had a lot of antiques and useless junk lying around. In one of the boxes which had “Fragile” written on it came out  a circlet. The circlet was embedded with jewels of different colors. Oddly there was a hint of dust on it like the other items and it still shined as if it had just been polished a few hours ago. Seraphina played with the jewels as the crimson one started twisting and she suddenly felt as if she was being sucked into the circlet. She then found herself wearing a dress which was all crimson and embroidered with little crystals. Her surrounding was completely different. She was in a room which was painted all black and looked very depressive. She couldn’t get out of the room as there was no door, no window, not even a crack in the wall. The room didn’t have any furniture except bookcase. The bookcase had a single book on it. The book was covered in dust and spider webs and had an old rusted lock. There was no key, not that there was a need for one as the lock had given up being used for its purpose a long time ago. She looked through the pages of this book when she found a page in the book about the circlet she had found. “The Circlet of Tears” was its name. In the explanation it said that everybody who was in possession of this circlet would be teleported to a room with no way out and depending on the color of the jewel that had started twisting would be their fate.  Suddenly she felt something burning under her feet. The room was surrounded in fire and that was her unfortunate end. On the next page you could the the crimson jewel meant burning. It really did bring tears in the end so I guess it was named properly. However if she had chosen the other colors it would have led her to happiness and wealth. So why would she chose have chosen the crimson one? Then you remember that she didn’t chose it, it just started twisting. But why..?
