Detectives don’t have the privilege to make mistakes or ignore little details. A small thing that went unnoticed can cause a catastrophe.

Another case, a missing girl who is very talented. Possibly kidnapped but I can’t let my judgments shadow reality.

Through the investigation, I found out that she was last seen with her mother arguing, but again she was not home that night. But when her room was checked we figured some of her belongings were missing. Was this a theft case, I believed not. Perhaps she was the one that took her stuff but when?

After interrogating all of the staff that work in the house. The old gardener said that they all loved the girl so much. And had no idea why she would run away as her all life was here. The chef said her mother would leave a candle every night in the little girls room as she was scared of the dark.

This case was taking longer than it should have. Going into her room again questioning where she could be I noticed the candles burning. Whatever happened at that very moment, when I was blowing out the candles. I realised there was something in the candle. It was a little hair clip that was probably from when she was a baby. If only had I noticed the other details around the house, I was so blinded by lies.

Going into the train station to meet up with a friend I saw the mother, she was waiting patiently for someone. As the clock continued ticking it felt as if the air was getting thicker making it harder to breathe. Finally, seeing the mother see the person they were waiting for I let out a breath. Until I saw who she was waiting for, the girls father. The father was always away on business trips so it was a great time to come home.

Going around the house looking for clues I stumbled upon a picture, a family picture. But the girl was just a baby. Behind the photo there was her picture all in black.
August 9th
The case was solved. After questioning the father, I found out that the girl had a died long ago. In the end there was no case to solve because there was no missing girl. It was all in the mother head, she was schizophrenic.
