Not so long ago, I watched the movie Tetris. You most probably have heard of the name from the world-famous game Tetris.
The movie is about the Tetris game’s history and how it was launched. You watch as different companies try to launch the game under their own brand. The main character, Henk Rogers, tries to launch the game with Nintendo while other companies try to steal it from them before the launch.
The movie takes place in the late eighties and early nineties, and the whole plot is based on a true story. I also learned that the game was made by an average government worker in the USSR.
The movie is a drama-action movie with lots of pixel shots, just like in the Tetris game. With lots of dramatic and action scenes, I recommend this movie. The actors really do make you feel like you’re living that exact moment, and some of the actors really do play that ‘intimidating’ role. The soundtracks are also pleasing to the ear. There are old 90s songs played with different variations of the classic Tetris song.
If you ask me, I’d watch the movie again. I really enjoyed it. It was also amusing to see how a game could make such a big difference in the world.
