Dear Grandmother,
We live in an age in which the world constantly changes alongside the requirement people need to survive. Everybody has had aspirations and goals that didn’t come true the way they were planned or anticipated. When this occurs repeatedly, we begin to question what needs to be altered. But very infrequently do we start by changing our thinking from the inside out.
Our culture is skill-driven, emphasizing the development of new skills as well as strengthening our weaker ones. This frequently encourages the idea that we need more education in order to accomplish our objectives. Some people retake their courses, while others attend seminars and workshops or study books in search of the magic skill set that will solve all their problems. But we deem to forget the way the world changes. Even a slight change twists the nature of the world. A president that was elected can cause a nation to fall whereas a good president might praise the nation’s values and pick it up to be a next age leveled country. I know that you believe fate is real and the one behind all of it is God but I think you believe that to comfort yourself. People die, and suffer in an endless circle that keeps its phase. Some stuff in life happen because of humans not because it was doomed to happen. We have the power to alter our future, it is pointless to accept what is ahead and stop working. There is no way to prevent natural disasters but we can take precautions. I believe that we should all stop complaining that bad things happen and try to alter the future. Our futures hold great opportunities and by binding our mindsets to religion we oppress the future. I believe that things like religion should not stop us from working or improving. People blame the God when bad things happen while the only people they should blame is the ones that had an impact on that outcome. One of the major issues with people is their unwillingness to accept responsibility. They point the finger at someone when something minor goes wrong, including their partner, their spouse’s children, their parents, their teachers, the politicians, the businessmen, etc. When something major goes wrong, people usually blame God, yet occasionally they will just remark “this happened due of god’s will” instead.
They don’t want to accept any accountability for anything. Stop placing blame or making excuses for other people. Instead, you should develop to your greatest potential as a person because maturity can only come from accepting responsibility for your own life. Although we can’t always control what life throws at us, we can manage what we can possibly do. I hope the knowledge I had provided you changed how you see the world and the things surrounding you.
