It is said in many stories that we are a part of a star, and that is technically true. One of the first things that emerged in the universe are stars, and they, when they die, release all the basic elements, creating planets and more stars eventually turning into life. I always thought that this was a very fantastical way of thinking because if we were to follow that thought process, everyone would be related, and we would all be a part of the universe. Which are all true, but why would you stop in the stars? Well, that’s what I thought anyway.
So, it turns out I was wrong: 10 years from now, a great cataclysm threatened the world. I barely remember any of it; I was very young when it was all happening, but I do remember some parts of it as anybody would. The stars were oddly bright; no scientist had an explanation for it, and suddenly they started to shift in the sky. They first started to form bonds of light between that looked like a bunch of cables. You would think they were random, but we will get there in a second. Next, it was if the whole world started shaking. It did not come from the ground; everywhere shook, except the air. Then everyone’s heads started to ache with the stars’ changes. A shrill voice that echoed in your skull that, somehow, felt extremely bright. Finally, a huge star appeared in the middle of all the shifting stars and underneath it’s light, a huge tree started growing
After that, no one remembers a period. Everyone just woke up in a random place with no civilisation, and there isn’t a single person that has seen the huge tree again after it reached the stars.
