Recently I have watched the film “Smile” which is directed by Parker Finn. This film shows you terrifying life of a successful psychiatrist Dr. Rose Cotter after a strange suicide which happened to her patient. After her patient died, this case confuses the doctor and she decides to investigate this incident step by step.
After the doctor managed to get to the bottom of this situation, she discovers that a curse lives inside these innocent chosen victims, who are accompanied by a terrifying smile before they die. As the time passes, she goes through the deeper of different circumstances and she explores that also she is the one of the innocent victims in this terrible story.
In this scary movie, bloody scenes are avoided and some psychological situations that cause people to commit frightening suicides are presented in the foreground. At the end of the movie, the lead character commits suicide in a horrifying way and Rose cannot fully solve the mystery of the events.
Sosie Bacon, who plays Dr. Rose, complete this role with a success and her role is in a very realistic and powerful way that played in a different atmosphere, resulting in a film with a beautiful leading role.
In addition, supporting actors such as Kyle Gallner and Jessie T. Usher add depth to the story and succeed in supporting the lead role. The film “Smile” graphically plays with unexpected also this film includes jump scares with creepy lights background.
Overall, because of the psychological thriller inside the movie this holds this film against to another real horror movies and I highly recommend this accomplished film to the people who enjoys watching this kind of horror series.
