SHOW IT

“Showing yourself less than you actually are is not humility; it’s stupidity,” said Montaigne. However, Mevlana said, “While everybody is trying to be something, just be nothing.” I don’t agree with Mevlana’s idea because life is not working that way. You have to show yourself if you want people to pay attention to you. You have to show yourself if you want people to respect you. You have to show yourself because otherwise, you won’t be able to become an important person.

The world is full of bullies; you have to learn how to survive and get rid of them. Don’t get it wrong; I’m not trying to say that you should be a selfish person, but you have to know how to be strong. You must make people see your abilities so they can understand “who you actually are.” Don’t let them get over you because if you do, they won’t get that you are also a person who also has the ability to think. Humility’s dictionary description is “the feeling or attitude that you have no special importance that makes you better than others.” But if you think that you are special and important, then you have to show yourself.
