Self Image

There she was, sitting on top of the freshly painted bench next to the bushes. How could she look so effortlessly beautiful? Sitting there looking like the most beautiful the I ‘ever seen with her blonde long hair swinging in the wind and her big brown eyes looking around as if trying to find a certain individual. I have always struggled with self-image however I’ve never tried this much and put in this much effort to look a certain way, the way which she looks. I always thought that she was beautiful appearance wise however I was never able to pull myself together to go and talk to her personally but eavesdropping told me that she was had an egoistic personality and was pretty much aware of her looks and privilege. I never knew if these rumors were true or not so one day, I finally decided to check for myself to see if they were lying or not. It was a Friday noon and she was waiting in the lunch queue to get her food, I quickly got a tray and anxiously moved next to her and bumped intentionally, I was very unsure about her reaction however she just turned to me with the cutest smile ever and I apologized and she accepted it right away and even offered to sit with me at lunch. So, we got our food and sat to the closest table we could find and started chatting. I was shocked because she was absolutely adorable and her personality was is bubbly and kind which I pretty much adored. When I decided that the rumors were not accurate, I felt a sense of relief going down my spine. And after a while we started to talk even more and became best friends and at the end, I was finally able to see that another person’s beauty was never the absence of my own with her help.
