Seeing Life From a Movie Screen

We’ve all probably seen movies or comedy shows. Like Simpsons or Family Guy. Yes, these are fictional shows, yet some people may find them to be influential. They have pushed the boundaries of what is permitted on television, and they are adored by a large number of people worldwide.

With the help of their sound effects, camera angles, lightning and conversation, movies transport us to a fascinating world and make the behavior we see there impactful. One of the studies that foresaw this outcome involved 156 university students in Thailand. Unfortunately, the effects of the films are not limited to the positive ones. In another study, 6.522 participants between the ages of 10 and 14 were polled to discuss the impact of movies on smoking behavior. Results revealed that smoking in the movies also raised the rate of starting to smoke.

Unquestionable repercussions may result if temporary behaviors become ingrained and have a persistent impact. The endeavor to deal with the issues that people face in their own lives forms the basis of this influence it has on conduct. The fact that the experiences of the characters in movies and television shows are resolved within a specific time frame and that movie protagonists are typically victorious, strong characters, and achieve happiness creates a paradox in the audience’s knowledge.
