There are some roles given to us as a society. These roles define how we should act, what we should and shouldn’t say. But all of these rules are for white and black situations. Life is not always black and white. Some things are controversial. We as humans like to think that we are on the right side in every situation and other peoples’ opinions are full of crap. So we put a kind of pressure to force everyone to behave accordingly to please everyone. The pressure is not exactly visible. It’s all the little things that make a person unconfident. These days it’s all about confidence. And I think the most hustle thing a human being can do to another human being is to despise them. Despisal is something that prevents people from having confidence in themselves. As a teenager myself, I am tired of keeping up with these roles given to me. I just want to live my life as I want without the need for anyone’s consent. I want to accomplish everything I want so I can come to a point where I do things just because someone told me not to. Let alone these superficial roles, there are some beauty standards as well. If you are not blonde and skinny you are “ugly”, or if you don’t have the perfect body that the boys would want you are not “attractive”. Who cares what boys think? Because of these stupid stereotypes, everyone needs consent and approval from someone that they are worthy of love nowadays. Your self-love and confidence should be enough to do anything you want. You should buy that dress you saw but didn’t buy because you thought it made your body look bad. You should go back and say what’s necessary to that boy who misbehaved you. You are the most important thing in your life. Don’t let anyone take your joy from you.
