Review of the Film Titanic

Titanic is a romantic drama film released in 1997 directed by James Cameron. The story is based on the sinking of the Titanic in 1912 but it adds a love story between two characters Jack and Rose. Jack is a poor artist who wins a ticket to board the Titanic sheep while Rose is a rich young woman who feels trapped in her life.

The film is very long it lasting over three hours. Many people might find it too long but I think it’s worth watching. The special effects and how the ship is shown are amazing. You really feel like you are on the ship. The scenes of the ship sinking are very intense and emotional also making you feel the fear and desperation of the passengers.

The actors, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, give strong performances. They feels you this is real and you really want them to be together even when you know the sad ending. The soundtrack especially the song “My Heart Will Go On” is also very memorable and adds to the emotional impact of the film.

However, some critics say that the film focuses too much on the romance and not enough on the historical events. I understand their point but I believe the love story makes the tragedy more personal. Titanic is a beautiful film about love and loss. Everyone who enjoys a good romance mixed with history must watch this film.
