The war has ended. Across the Turkey, people are happy for the country was liberated from the occupation of other countries. A new country was established after the signing of Treaty of Lausanne on 24 July 2023. The country was governed by the Grand National Turkish Assembly and was heading towards a new information in the footsteps of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Pasha.
New decisions were being made every day for the country. Two months after the second term Turkish Grand National Assembly convened, on 13 October 1923 the capital of the new Turkish country was announced as Ankara. And now what’s in order is to define Turkey’s regime.
Finally, the regime would be clear. On 28 October 2023, Atatürk said that “Gentlemen, tomorrow we will declare the republic.”, and like what he has said, the republic was declared. On the day of the republic was declared 29 October 2023, people were so exciting. With the vote of all 158 participants who attended to the meeting, the republic was officially declared.
Turkey’s regime finally became certain. After that people went voting for the new president. The president was chosen as Atatürk with the vote of all 158 participants who attended to the meeting.
In 2023, we are celebrating the 100th year of our republic. We must take our Republic further and develop it this is our national debt. And this year, also like every year, we are celebrating republic with great enthusiasm.
