The Ottomon Empire was a state ruled by a monarchy for many years. The Ottomon Empire, which was ruled by highly qualified sultans, was heading towards collapse because it was ruled by unqualified sultans in its last years.When the situation got worse, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk decided that the declaration of the republic was a must for this state and declared the republic on 29 October 1923.
On october 29, the republic was declared in the parliament and cannons were fired all over the country, it was celebrated in festive atmosphere, and this enthusiasm has been celebrated unabated for 100 years. Nowadays we are celebrating this beautiful day with shows at schools, concerts, parades in the streets, firework displays and more.
After the declaration of the republic, a president was a must and a president would be elected democratically. Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK was unanimously elected president and the first government of the republic was established by İsmet İNÖNÜ on 30 October 1923
Mustafa Kemal Atatürk did his best for our Türkiye. He did everything he could in the war of independence. He gained the respect of other commanders. There were some events that showed how important education is in a war. Atatürk was such a person that he saved a collapsed state from extinction and enabled the establishment of another state. These things he did were uniqe in the world and thus he is known as an amazing person by whole world. Without Atatürk , it would have been impossible to establ,sh a state called Türkiye.
After the republic people’s freedoms expanded, women had almost no rights, and after the declaration of the republic, women became equal to men.In short, a new constitution was prepared for us to live in an equaland fair country.
