Our school is planning to establish 3 out-of-school-activity clubs for students to improve themselves at a certain skill. This report will cover the possible positive and negative outcomes of the operation of these clubs and some students opinions about these clubs.
First and in my opinion the most important one is a coding club. Since coding is our future and will be useful in both daily and professional life this club will be the most successful and the most participated one. This clubs benefits to our students will that they will learn programming languages at an early age and if a student chooses to have job related to coding and programming, this club will make his/her job much easier. But besides all of these, since there will a lot of people participating, we will have a participant limit and this will cause some students to feel disappointment since they can’t join any activities related to this club. Kerem and Çınar, whose are students of our school also thought that this club wll be good for our students.
The second most beneficial club is a sports club. This club is also going to be one of the most preferred one since the number students who are interested in sports is quite high. This club will help some students to have progress at the sports which they are already interested in but also, this sports club will make some students to know about differet sports and maybe even like them. One downside of this club is that the sports performed at this club can lead to some injuries if being done too competitive. Çınar thought that this club could have a positive effect on the students but Kerem thought that this clubs operation is unnecessary and there could be other clubs operating instead of it.
The third club is the outdoor adventure club. This club will also catch attention since it can distract students from the monotone way of daily life. The club can organize some nature activities such as a mountain climbing and rafting. But there is a huge downside of this club that it can led students to have fatal injuries. Çınar and Kerem both thoguht that this club will improve students certain skills such as maintaining control in extreme situations but also a little bit dangeorus because of the activit this club involves.
In conclusion, all of these clubs has positive and downsides at their owns and students highly like to see these activity clubs operating at our school.
