Today, my English teacher assigned homework to create an imaginary city. In my opinion, for a city to be perfect, the people living there must first be conscious. Because just as a painter fills an empty canvas as she wishes, if the painter doesn’t know how to paint, the canvas will be very bad. But if the painter is skilled, the canvas she paints will be wonderful.
As you know, there are many negative events happening in our city. Examples include fires, people killing people, animal abuse, women abuse, violence against children, violence against women, violence against animals, natural disasters, assassinations, global warming, environmental pollution, etc.
Who do you think is responsible for this? Of course, humans. Humans are harming the Earth to live comfortably. I want to ask something of humans: Are you serious? Do you think you can live without the Earth? I have moved beyond living comfortably on Earth. Do you think you can continue to live on Earth by acting this way? Because you are harming the Earth with your carelessness and indifference. We have only one Earth to live on, so we must protect it.
We can make this world a better place if we are careful and take precautions about global warming, protecting nature, ensuring environmental cleanliness, and raising people’s awareness about maintaining air cleanliness. Yes, I know the topic of this assignment is to create an imaginary city, but we live in reality, not dreams, and we have a world. We must protect it. And if we don’t raise people’s awareness about protecting this world, everything will be very bad. So please fulfill your responsibilities to protect the world.
