Power Of Colors

Colors are very important in human life. From past to present, colors have always symbolized meaning for people, and people have made many comments through colors. For example, in the past, ancient Turks compared blue to the color of the sky and red to blood and green to nature. Nowadays, the meanings of colors have become more differentiated and modernized. Think about it, would the world be a more beautiful place if it were in black and white instead of color?

The meanings of colors today may differ slightly from the past. While red represents excitement and passion, blue evokes calmness and trust. While green reminds us of peace and nature, yellow expresses joy and energy. Purple represents mystery and creativity, while orange evokes vitality and movement. So, is it right to look for the importance of these colors only in these meanings? I think not at all, because colors exist everywhere in human beings’ lives. We see certain colors and act accordingly, every second of the day, from the moment we lift our heads up from the bed until we put them back down, even in our dreams while sleeping or even when our eyes are closed. The incredible effect of these colors can sometimes be used even in advertisements or company logos to convey their effect to the buyer. For example, large chain fast food brands such as Burgerking McDonald’s attach importance to using the color red in their logos and decorating with red colors in their advertisements. Because, according to the research, it has been observed that people who see the color red feel hungrier than normal and their need to eat increases, even if they are not hungry. For this reason, some catering companies that want to use this for the benefit of their own company frequently use this effect of the color red even today. Well, I really don’t know what we would do if our world was not surrounded by these beautiful colors but in black and white. Imagine yourself in the time when cameras were still rudimentary and imagine yourself in the black and white environment of those old photographs. You look at the tree, it is pitch black, the sky is not a vibrant blue but infinite white, then I am quite sure that the world will not look as beautiful as it does now. Therefore, we should know the value of the existence of colors.

In short, colors exist everywhere in life and make this world more beautiful. We need to appreciate this and live with the effects of colors and be happy with them.
