Population of China and India

In 2000, China’s population was around 1.25 billion people. By that time, India’s population was 0.25 billion less than that. As the years passed, both countries populations continued to increase. In 2010, China’s population is still higher (China: 1.35 billion people, India: 1.2 billion people), but the increase in population is higher in India (China: 0.1 billion increase, India: 0.2 billion increase). The difference between the populations of these two countries keeps getting lower and lower. In 2030, people are expecting India to catch up with China, with a population of 1.45 billion people. After the year 2030, China’s population will start to decrease while India’s population continues to increase. India’s population increase speed will lower as the time passes. In 2050, China’s population will be 1.4 billion people, and India’s population will be 1.6 billion people.
