Pollution

Pollution is a widespread environmental issue caused by the release of harmful substances into the environment, negatively impacting ecosystems and human health. I am living in Ankara and I used to think that my city doesn’t have any pollution but when I went Anıtkabir and look my city from a higher level I realised that Ankara have air pollution. There was a brown layer in the air. But because Ankara doesn’t have sea and lakes are clean, there is no water pollution.

There is 3 type of pollution: air pollution, water pollution and land pollution. Air pollution is the pollution in the air. Factories and vehicles are releasing harmful gases to the air and these gases are causing air pollution. Air pollution have far-reaching effects on both the environment and the well-being of residents. For example, if there is air pollution and if you breath you can be poisoned and you can even die. Polluted air can also poison plants and cause forest fires. To prevent these issues; factories should put filter to their chimney, electric vehicles should be increased and you should use public transport or electric vehicle instead of personal vehicle.

Water pollution is the pollution in the water. The shedding of polluted liquids into the water without control is causing water polluiton. Water pollution have far-reaching effects on both the environment and the well-being of residents. When we eat sea food like fish which lives in the sea which is polluted, we can get poison. The shedding of harmful liquids should be controlled and should be limited to prevent water pollution.

Land pollution is the pollution in the land. Soil pollution occurs if large amounts of garbage are not collected and not recycled. Land pollution can cause bad smell. Land pollution can be prevented by collecting garbages and recycling them.

In conclusion, we should try to prevent pollutions to make our city better.
