Introduction
The demand for out-of-school activities has increased lately due to the need to fulfill the 21st century qualifications and collage applications of students. Regarding the request I have interviewed students at our school and conducted a survey about out-of-school activities they would like to participate in. The results are presented below along with the most demanded three activities.
Sports Club
More than a quarter of the students have stated that they don’t have any available gym or court nearby to do sports on a regular schedule. Most of them have also agreed to the need for a sports club at the school and confirmed that they would like to attend it if it was created. Additionally, some of them commented on the need for sports tournaments and an increase in the diversity of sports offered.
Community Service Program
A large portion of the students have noticed the stray animals nearby the school district and showed concern regarding the issue. When asked if they would participate in a community service program about it, almost all responded with positive feedback. Some of the students also suggested a joint project with the local shelter to provide food and water to the stray animals.
Art Workshop
With evident interest in arts, most of the students complained about the absence of activities regarding arts of all kinds. They have outlined the urgent need to promote arts in the school and hopes that establishment of an art workshop could trigger it. Moreover, some have also highlighted the lack of activities for music and dance, therefore, urging them to be added to the art workshop too.
Conclusion
Considering the feedback from the students, the results of the interviews and surveys creating these three out-of-school activities appeal to a higher range of students, offering a better possibility of attendance and response to demand
