Nuclear Energy

I really don’t see why everyone thinks nuclear power is humanity’s demise. It really is not that dangerous, and I’ll go ahead and explain why now.

One “argument” against using nuclear power is that the whole Chernobyl thing happened and was a disaster. But really, that was because of poor design and outdated technology. In this day and age, there is practically no chance something like that will ever happen. Sure, but what will we do with all the waste? Well, it is stored safely for about 30 years and after that duration, the waste is mostly harmless. The only problem is a storage for 30 years of nuclear waste, which I’m sure will also be handled without much issue.

Nuclear power also takes up the least space out of all energy sources along with natural gas. That means if we were to replace all existing energy sources with those two, the scary amount of space the other plants take up could be put to better use, without lowering the amount of energy produced.

Nuclear power is always framed as the bad guy of energy sources, but really it isn’t any worse than something like solar power. It may be finite, but even so, it’s just far superior to the other sources of energy in every way, shape and form. I’ve done my research. That is all.
