“New Idea”

“New Idea”

What is an idea? You may try to look dictionary to find it’s meaning you will find “a thought or suggestion as to a possible course of action”, you may try to think deeply, philosophically or you may read a lot about ideas and you could have different “thoughts” about it. Well in the end aren’t the ideas the result of thoughts. So if we want to think about if ideas change in time, we have to think about if thoughts change in time.

In your daily life you must have seen that if somebody has a strong thought about some particular topic how hard you try to change their minds you will end up just wasting your breath however we saw people changing their thoughts everyday actually everybody changes some of their thoughts eventually. As a human being staying completely stable is impossible. Now let’s look at two famous writer’s ideas and decide who are we agreeing with. Mark Twain says “There is no such thing as a new idea. It is impossible. We simply take a lot of old ideas and put them into a sort of mental kaleidoscope. We give them a turn and they make new and curious combinations. We keep on turning and making new combinations indefinitely; but they are the same old pieces of colored glass that have been in use through all the ages.” and Victor Hugo says “No army can withstand the strength of an idea whose time has come.” To be honest I am not agreeing with any of them but at the same time I am agreeing with both of them.

Yes we are taking old ideas and turning them into new combinations so some of our new ideas of us are just another form of filthy old ideas but our brains are influencing from our environment, friends in short everything we see, experience so we develop new thoughts as a result we develop new ideas. So let me explain it shortly there is something named “new idea” but this new idea may be a combination of an old idea or it can be a fresh new idea. In the end both Mark Twain and Victor Hugo was right on their own.
