In todays world, we use cars in order to transport from one place to another. And these cars should be provided enough energy to turn on their engines with some kind of sources. With the latest technology we have, we can only use two kinds of source. One of them is electric and the other one is fossil fuels.
Using fossil fuels to provide energy to the engine is something that is detrimental for our environment. Because cars burn fossil fuels to turn on their engines and keep their engines working. And as a result, they release some gases like carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide that are not eco friendly. However, using engines that are working with electricity does not cause any bad impact to our environment as much as the fossil fuels do. We can say that they are more eco friendly. And the countries which are being aware of that situation like China has produced 10 million electric vehicles annually and that will contribute to the world with some ways.
As I mentioned, the most beneficial effect would be that they are environmentally friendly due to their energy provider. And presumebly, the biggest reason that encourages peoples to buy electric vehicles is the cost of the vehicles. Because cost of the car and the charging are less than the cars that are using fossil fuels.
One of the bad way is that electric vehicles still do net have adequate range for majority of the peoples. This might be the biggest reason to not to buy an electric vehicle. Because in most of the electric vehicles you have to charge it in per 400 to 500 kilometers according to your usage and your model of the car. In addition, there is limited model variation if you want to buy an electric car. And the production of batteries requires minerals such as lithium, cobalt, and nickel which are often mined under controversial and environmentally damaging conditions. If your battery die in a short time you also have to pay extra money to replace it with a fresh one. Another point of view is that the future of electric cars are unknown. Because companies did not find the attention and the interest from the global market that they expected.
To sum up, producing and buying more electric vehicles have some good ways and bad ways to our world. And companies must be aware of these while they are producing and selling electric vehicles to people.
