These applications offer them many opportunities such as allowing them to stay in touch with friends, expressing themselves creatively and following new trends. However, are the effects of social media always positive?

On the one hand, social media provides a platform for teenagers to socialize, express their feelings and find communities where they can feel understood and supported. Also, social media helps them to stay informed about global issues. But most of the news is dangerous to the teens which can affect their mental health.

One of the most challenging parts of social media is cyberbullying. It has many negative effects on teens like anxiety, depression, and feeling insecure. Also it can cause stress  which leads to being unsuccessful in education.

In conclusion, to maintain a healthy relationship with social media, setting time limits or engaging in offline activities can reduce the negative impact. Furthermore, finding a balance helps teenagers to maintain their mental well-being.
