Nation of Workers

They say that working in the office, going to the workplace, office life, and office work will now be left behind and the focus will be on working from home. This is a subject that is both open and closed to discussion.

Now let’s talk about why many companies and investors find working in the office better for their employees and worse than working from home. First of all, 120-130 years ago, while collecting funds and donations from American investors for educational institutions, a man came forward and made a huge charity. So who was this man and why did he provide such help? John D. Rockefeller was the first billionaire in America and the United States. Well, have you ever heard what this American businessman, philanthropist, and industrialist said? “I don’t want a nation of thinkers. I want a nation of workers.” Because not everyone can have everything. We need a system that tells us how people should think and act, work from 9 am to 5 pm, have a 1-hour daily meal and air break, get permission before going to the toilet, take out a loan, and pay off the debt for 6-12 months. Let’s teach them that they should only receive money 12 times a year. And let’s put this system into their minds at a young age so that they can study and get a job.

As this system works, workplaces and companies also comply with that system. What I mean is that no company would easily employ people working from home. because there is a live streaming system they have to comply with. But let’s say some companies broke the system and started some of their employees to work from home. The good thing about working from home might be that you have everything at hand. You could make your morning coffee and get to work on the sofa of your warm home. You wouldn’t be separated from your family members. If you have a pet, you wouldn’t leave it alone either. Coming to the downsides of working from home, if you are an old-school person and cannot solve a problem on your own, it would be good and effective to talk to your colleague face to face and explain the problem to him. Another thing is that if you don’t get out of your comfort zone, you are always stuck there. Or if your motivation is low, it would be good to have your friend feel next to you in the office environment.

As I explained, the good aspects and bad aspects of working from home were these and similar examples. So, would you choose to work from home over working in the office?
