“Mom, we left just two weeks for 2023! I am so happy.” said Ellie.
“Then let’s start to decorate our Christmas tree.” said Millie. (Ellie’s mom)
They started to decorate their tree. Ellie got the decorate light and balls. After half an hour they finished decorate the tree.
-Two weeks later-
“Let’s buy some gifts for our friends and relatives.” said Millie.
“Okay.” said Ellie.
They went to the shopping mall and bought some gifts. After two hours, they came home and put the gifts under the Christmas tree. And Millie started to cook a turkey and Ellie helped her mom. They put the turkey to the oven and waited to it be cooked.
The door rang. Ellie was so excited. Her friends and her relatives came to their home. They ate their meals.
“The turkey is so good, Millie.” said Albert.
“Thank you.” said Millie.
After they ate their meals, they gave their gifts.
And just one hour left to 2023.
Millie and her relatives and her friends were chatting and Ellie was playing with her friends.
“Ellie, I am so happy for coming to your house.” said Olivia.
“Yeah.” said Sofia.
“I am so happy, too.” said Ellie.
Millie went to the kitchen to prepare tea for the guests. While pouring tea on the glasses, she looked at the clock. It was fifty five past eleven ! Millie went to Ellie’s room and informed:
“It’s fifty five past eleven, Ellie.” said Millie.
“Yesssssss!” said Ellie and her friends.
They went to the living room and waited for the 2023. When there were seconds to the new year, suddenly the door rang. Ellie went to open the door and a box was standing in front of her. But there was no text. Ellie told this to her mom. Millie said:
“Wow, it is Santa’s gift to you. You are so well-behaved kid this year. Well-done Ellie.” said Millie.
Ellie opened her gift and there was a music box. Ellie was so happy. And they are in 2023 now. And they shouted in joy:
“Hello 2023!”
