My Sustainable City

What makes a city sustainable is what resources we use and how we use them. So for a city to be sustainable it has to be on good resources. So in my city there will be many solar panels on top of the houses and buildings to provide energy from the sun. There also will be windmills in suitable areas. This is how we are going to have sustainable energy.

One other topic that is important is the material we build our houses in. It has to be strong and durable and ecofriendly. It shouldn’t be too costly but making too much of a budget cut will drop the quality immensely. There also should be heat and sound insulations to help with comfort and most importantly the nature as with insulations the heat is kept inside and cold air doesn’t come from outside.

The arranging of the buildings is also a point that has to be covered. The city will have a school or multiple schools depending on the population, grocery stores, hospitals, hair dressers, bakeries, retail stores, restaurants etc… making the restaurant next to a residential area won’t be smart as the crowd might disturb the residents but making it too far off won’t be a good choice either. It has to be right in the middle. Bigger shops should also not be close to residental areas but putting smaller shops closer to residental areas will make it easier to run and grab essentials when needed. Also the roads are as important and should be made from the right material and placed correctly.

These are all the important things I would do in my sustainable city. Besides all of these I would try to make the city aesthetically pleasing and would do a background check on the residents and the tourists when they come. I would educate the youth to keep the nature clean besides all their schoolwork.
