My Day

When I woke up, I looked out the window as if I could tell the time by looking at the sky. The sky was light blue as always. I’ve never seen the sky get dark; I just read in books that it could get dark a long time ago.

I stopped looking at the sky, picked up my phone next to my bed, opened its screen, and looked at the time. It was 7 o’clock in the morning. I got out of bed and went to the kitchen after getting ready for school. My mother had prepared breakfast and was waiting for me. I had my breakfast and went to school.

School went by quickly. I packed my bag and left school. The sky was still bright. After I came home, I did some homework and then started reading a book.

After a while, my mother came to my room and asked why I was awake so late. She was angry. My mother showed me the watch on her wrist: “It’s 1 in the morning, and you have school tomorrow.” I apologized to my mother and went to my bed.

It was really confusing that the sky was always bright.
